Publishing your app to the Google Play store (Android)
Please contact your Account Manager if you wish to publish your app to Android.
- You will need to ensure you have registered for a Google Play Publisher account (similar to registering to the Apple iOS Developer Program). Then invite firstname.lastname@example.org and <your account manager>@mogeneration.com as members of your account.
- Setup your app's metadata via the Google Play developer console. This is very self explanatory so just follow the steps outlined by Google.
- Oomph will create your app and submit the APK file (app binary). Unlike the Apple App Store, there is no app review process for Android apps so your app can be live in the Google Play app store within 24 hours of uploading the APK.
(Note: If you looking to update an existing app in the Google Play store, please provide Oomph with the keystore and private key used to sign the original app. All versions of an app must be signed with the same key so Oomph will not be able to build an update without the original key used to digitally sign your app)
