We recommend different methods of previewing content for Mac and Windows users. Read more on previewing Oomph content. While you can make use of Oomph Viewer to preview your content, we strongly advise that you use your branded app for testing.
Why? We cannot guarantee that your content will perform as expected if you do not test within your own live/ad hoc application. As all apps are built individually at different times, they are released on different versions of Oomph. As such, the capabilities from one version to the next can be quite different and as such, can effect the way your content performs. While we strive for 100% backwards compatibility (i.e. Version 12 content will run in a Version 15 app) but we can't ensure retroactive forwards compatibility (Version 15 content in a Version 12 app).
Best practice: Test your content with the live app that is in the App Store. This is what your customers will be using, so use it to preview the absolute end user experience. This leaves no room for mistakes.
Note: If you don't yet have an app live in the store (i.e. you're waiting for an update to be reviewed, or this is your first app), we can provide ad hoc version of your app to use for testing. You can find out more about how to install an ad hoc version of your app here.
